Working late during the season

I have been working later than usual due to the upcoming Golden Week holidays. I don't begrudge my married colleagues time with their families, but Kinoko certainly does not approve of having her dinner later. Unfortunately, I cannot leave two portions out in the morning as she will eat it all and want a third. Perhaps somewhere, someone will have advice on how to proceed.

[ooc: As Kinoko is a dog, does Atobe want to change that comment? ^_^ Also, hello! Er, do they know each other already?]

What on earth are you doing working the holiday, anyway? My advice would be to take off the holiday like everyone else and feed your dog. Work will still be there when you get back.

[ooc: Sorry about that. ♥ Corrected. And, no, I highly doubt it.]

Our office does not close on public holidays as our functions are required throughout the year. Working holidays is voluntary. As a bachelor with family in Tokyo, I feel my colleagues deserve the opportunity to enjoy their holiday without worrying about the office.

[ooc: Considering Atobe's age and his education at somewhere not Ryuhana when he was younger, yeah, probably not. ^_^ Okay!]

Hm. Good way to work yourself to the bone... I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name before.

One usually gives one's name before asking, Atobe-kun.

[ooc: *laughs* These two are not off to a good start, are they?]

Usually. My reputation so often proceeds me.

Atobe Keigo, Ryuhana third year. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

[ooc; XD; no, they really aren't.]

Tezuka Kunimitsu of X-Corporation's Tokyo office. I trust you are settled in at the school.

[ooc: *rofl* Tezuka refused to say it was a pleasure. Oh dear, this is going to be interesting.]

Settled as best as a bird with ruffled feathers can nest.

There's a festival this weekend, Tezuka-san; good, clean fun and an escape from the perils of the modern working bachelor.

[ooc: even Ryoma and Atobe did better than this... XD;]

Ryuhana's facilities are without peer within Japan; few worldwide surpass it. Even an Atobe should find little to offend.

Thank you for the notification. The lack of peril notwithstanding, I am unfortunately otherwise occupied and unable to attend, but I hope you enjoy it.

[ooc: *giggles* Oh Tezuka, is that school pride I see?]

I hardly am offended. A feather mattress should fix the most pressing complaint.

Ah~n? Do you have a date?

I fail to see where it concerns you.

[ooc: *rofl* Tezuka's got a date with an empty office. He's looking forward to some replacement time off after this!]

Touchy, touchy. It doesn't concern me, which is a blessing to be certain. Call it an attempt at friendly conversation.

[ooc: strikes deleted.]

I see. My apologies. If you require assistance, the Tokyo office will be operational, though with minimal services.

[ooc: Aw.]

Now, see, I knew you could be pleasant. If I find myself in a bind, I'll be sure to make use of your generous offer, Tezuka-san.

Merely duty in the event of emergency. Have a good Golden Week.

[ooc: *rofl* And he just rubbed Tezuka the wrong way AGAIN. *can't help but giggle* I wonder if Tezuka's been hanging out with my Ogata too long.]

Thank you. Don't overwork yourself.

[ooc: XD; That was 100% intentional. It's Atobe. He wouldn't be Atobe if he didn't rile Tezuka up.]

[ooc: *rofl* He's definitely succeeding!]

I guess that would depend on what you feed her~ <3 Some cats can be satiated if you leave a bit of cream out and she'll be a bit less grumpy with you when you get home.

[ooc: ... Kinoko is a dog, and I shall have to put that in the profile, I think. XD Change or keep this comment? Also, for my information, they know each other, right? For once, the senpai-kouhai dynamic may be reversed here ...]

[ooc: Keeping it the way it is is fine. XD; I have no opinion either way~ <3 It would depend on how much time Tezuka spent at Ryuhana.]

Thank you for the advice, Yamato-kun. Would this advice work for a golden retriever?

[ooc: Tezuka was there from the age of 11 to ... whenever people graduate university. *thinks* 22 or 23. We'll pretend it's 22 to make it easier to calculate. ♥]

That's a tricky question~ <3 I've heard that leaving the bowl out but up at an angle where it's difficult to reach can prevent overeating and force them to also eat slowly. Maybe leave a chew toy out?

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll try them tomorrow.
